Quarter 1 2025 Update
Cavendish Waters has had a fantastic start in January, with Melbrooke Construction making excellent progress on the groundworks and site preparations. These efforts are paving the way for piling to commence. Despite some challenging weather conditions here in the UK, we’re delighted to see the team breaking up the large concrete slab that was part of the previous structure on this site.

The full groundworks package at Cavendish Water will be commencing in the coming weeks.

Quarter 3 2024 Update
Following the previous construction update for Cavendish Waters, 40% of the excavation works and cart away are now complete, which has really opened up the ground for the commencement of foundation works.
Next, the sacrificial piles will be installed. These piles are essential for preventing water incursion into the site and will help establish the correct height for the transfer slab. This step is critical for ensuring the structural integrity of the building.
Over the next four weeks, the remaining excavation work will be completed. This process will involve the efficient and safe removal of all soil and debris from the site. The primary focus will be to ensure that the excavation is conducted with the utmost care to prevent any damage to surrounding structures or landscapes.
Following the excavation, we will start the concrete slab groundwork. This phase is a key transition from groundwork to building construction, as the concrete slab will serve as the foundation for the entire structure.
Quarter 2 2024 Update
This week, works officially began on site by the developers. The team immediately initiated the site scrape process, clearing the area for excavation.
In the upcoming weeks, they will focus on excavating the site down to a depth of 3 meters, laying the groundwork for the construction process.
Quarter 1 2024 Update
The developers are now in the process of mobilising on site, there have been delays due to awaiting official documentation from authorities to proceed with groundwork. However, they anticipate approval from the Canal and River Trust within the next 7 to 10 days.
Integras Property Group has partnered with Big Red, a well-established main contractor in the northwest of the UK, to accelerate the development works.
Quarter 3 2023 Update
The developers have completed the ground investigation works and are currently awaiting the arrival of the groundworks team.
They have also outlined the site layout and progress, with completion set for next year.
